Building 'Build Your Party'

I was arranging a birthday party for my father and for someone who has spent years in the entertainment industry, I couldn’t believe how annoying it can be. I have always been on the other side of the booking journey, so when someone used to call me to do a mobile disco or compare for an event, I assumed I had made it very simple for them. I had a user friendly webpage, contact details with quick message sending tool, I always responded as fast as possible and was open and honest when pricing. I never really considered the moment after I had to say I was already booked and the customer had to then move onto the next service on the list. So when I was organising this party I must have called about twenty different places and all I wanted to do was book a reasonably sized hall, DJ and basic caterer. It made me think, wouldn’t it be much simpler if you had a website you could go on and have everything just in that one place. So I considered the scale of doing this, it certainly wouldn’t be easy, but what a great idea. Most people assume there is a website for everything now, but I guess there always has to be that one person who thinks 'Let's DO IT!' So there began the construction of this website.
I began by designing and building the site, then started to compile a list of venues to hire in Colchester, Halls to hire in Colchester, DJ's to hire in Colchester, photographers to hire in Colchester, the list went on and on. Before I knew it I had compiled a list of over 400 different party related services and venue's, they were just in Colchester?! I chose to start in Colchester, because it is a place close to my heart and I knew the area very well. This also made sense because I already had a relationship with various entertainment services. Eventually I will move onto to the next location and have started work on another project called 'build your wedding', which explains itself in the name. For now I have managed to speak to lots of services and the feedback has been great, for them they have nothing to lose, because it offers more advertisement and more online traffic from people who may not have even considered there service before.
So this Blog I have added to the site gives everyone an insight into what we are doing, how we progress and the services as we recruit them. Although we have over 40 different listings ready we will not add any until the agreed launch date in January. You will then be able to book your fathers birthday party stress free and leave all of the work for us to sort out.
